The Canoeing Outing was a two day trip which consisted of a travel of about 22.5 miles on a canoe. We met at the community center and took a two hour drive to a dinner place called cookout. During that drive some of us did more requirements and we then drove the rest of the way to the canoeing place where we got our life vests. Then a bus took us up to camp where we set up camp then camped that night.
The next morning we ate pancakes with sausage and then we waited for the bus which was a bit late to pick us up. We then got onto the bus to head towards Eagles Rock. Then we canoed 14 miles while doing the 14 miles one of our canoes capsized and they lost all their stuff then we arrived at camp where we had some free time some of us fished, some of us made a campfire and one of us worked on requirements for their next rank with the SPL(Senior Patrol Leader) some of us also burned some cedarwood because it smelled really good because of the oils inside it. Then when it approached 10 we went into our tents to get some rest for the next day.
On day two we got up and some of us fished very early in the morning while breakfast was being made which consisted of oatmeal and Poptarts. After that we chilled for a little bit then we got the canoes out and started paddling towards the end of the ride it was an 8 mile canoe trip on day two we had a pair of the adults capsize the only thing they lost was their fishing rod we reached the end in about 4 hours we then went back to camp had lunch and started heading back home some of us went to Buc-ees the worlds largest gas station and some of us went to Sheetz a another good gas station. When we got back to the community center we talked about ways this outing could be better then we distributed gear to be cleaned then headed home.
